About this tool

imagetexttotext.online is a small, free tool with one job: take the text from image to text you can copy, edit, and reuse.

It started from an everyday annoyance. You have a screenshot, a photo of a page, or a receipt, and you need the words off it. Retyping is slow and you make mistakes. Most tools online ask you to make an account, sit through ads, or upload your picture to a server you know nothing about. We wanted something plainer than that.

So this tool does the reading right inside your own browser. When you drop a picture in, your computer does the work and hands you back the words. The file does not get sent anywhere. That keeps things fast and keeps your pictures yours.

What it is good at turning text in image to text

The reader handles clear, printed writing well. Think screenshots of articles, slides, menus, labels, forms, book pages, and signs. It reads a wide range of languages, not only English.

It is less sure with messy handwriting, heavy script fonts, very small text, blur, or photos taken at a sharp angle. When that happens, the result lands in an editable box so you can fix anything that came out wrong before you save it.
